2011-2012 Doug and Grace Loughlin Scholarship Winner: Brooke Laviolette

The first dream that Brooke had for her life was attending college. During Brooke's sophomore year, she had a revelation that serving others gave her the greatest joy. She had found her calling. Brooke has been involved in volunteer services in Mexico, France and her local community.

During her junior year in high school, Brooke began helping twice a week in a fifth grade classroom. Brooke has fallen in love with teaching. She appreciates the hard work involved in teaching but is motivated by knowing she can make a difference in the lives of children and their families.

Brooke, a devoted student, has a weighted 4.0 GPA. This fall she will be attending Southeastern University in Lakeland Florida and intends to major in Education.
